Anthony Guzman, nicknamed “the Guzzinator” for his rich, smooth, luxurious sound, began playing saxophone when he was 11. He developed a passion for jazz in high school and has used his rare sight-reading and improvisational skills to become a star player in the jazz world, including the UTSA Jazz Ensemble. Anthony draws from a variety of musical influences including Michael Brecker among many other jazz greats. He is a Music Education Major at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and plans on passing his knowledge of music down to the younger generation.
